We all know the mass media has failed us, perhaps even betrayed us, by ignoring the most urgent problems being created or caused by our own government. They are desperate to stop it and are using their usual tricks by giving the issue a misleading name, publicizing it so people vote for the opposite of what they want, and just plain lying about it. What gives corporations the right to do anything with the internet? IT'S NOT THEIRS. It's OURS.
This excellent film is an examination of the future of the Internet, including efforts by big business to buck the network-neutrality movement and take control of what consumers can and cannot access. Also: why America lags behind other countries in broadband access.

It's the usual m.o. They claim it will be great for everyone, it will make life better and end poverty and end hunger and create jobs. They always say that and they always are lying. The British people are waking to the fact that the dream is really a nightmare and it's getting a tighter hold on every aspect of their lives. A choke hold. More poverty, more hunger, less jobs, and no recourse. Why should you care? Because bush has already signed the deals with Canada and Mexico for the North American Union. There will be no borders, a new common currency, and no US Constitution and none of it's protections. Where Britain is now, we're headed. That's why you should care.
