WAR
170 Secret WMD in Israel 45 min
..................................................
From the BBC. The American media treats the subject of Israel different than other countries do, including Israel. The result is that Americans don't know much about Israel or the middle east. The realities of this film are well known around the world, and now you can get the scoop on the side of Israel our media likes to pretend doesn't exist.
129 Why We Fight - Anatomy of the American War Machine 1 hr 40 min
..............................................................................................................
This movie is on my 'Top Ten Most Important Movies' list. If they showed this and other movies like it on prime time television we'd never have gotten into the mess we're in today with the neo-cons and Iraq and the insane ideology of world domination through military might. It has excellent footage of important people, places and moments in time, mixed with recent but forgotten history. It reveals the relationship between Congress and Military Contractors and the fact that so called Think Tanks write the bulk of our legislation. Richard Perle, the scariest neo-con in DC, offers his assurance that no matter what we do, the neo-con game plan will not be stopped. (Let's hear a big, "Oh yeah?!") The top guns in government don't think the people need to know what the military is doing or why. Well, the sooner everyone sees this film, the sooner we can rise up as a nation and together, deliver this message to Washington DC, "Bite Me! And you're all fired!" Watch it, share it, spread the link. On top of it all, it's a good movie. And the soundtrack has some excellent talent too. What's not to like?
186 Arsenal of Hypocrisy 1 hr
.....................................................
Shown on FSTV, this excellent documentary by Bruce Gagnon will inform you about our plans and actions to militarize space, even though we agreed never to do it, along with everyone else a long time ago. There is much here to be afraid of, but knowing is better than being clueless. How else can we ever expect to make them stop the terrible things they do in our names? We have to keep up and keep aprised.
2 The Panama Deception 2 hrs
..................................................
This movie won the awards but it won't be shown on mainstream tv. It is being presented during an episode of Democracy Now which is why you'll see the show at the beginning, the movie starts very shortly thereafter. It made me feel sick inside, and it brought tears of grief and frustration that the "system" is run by people who want this to go on forever. It really makes me hate them. Deeply.

7 What I've Learned About US Foreign Policy:
The war against the Third World 2 hrs 4 mins
.......................................................................................................................
"CIA Covert Operations and US Military Interventions since WWII. What you didn't learn learn in school and don't hear on the mainstream media."
An educational experience. A collage of tv programs, news, and footage which reveal the dark side of American interventions with 3rd world nations, and the result. It may well break your heart. It did mine.
19 Congressman Ron Paul Speaks Out
AGAINST War With IRAN - April 2006 44 min
.....................................................................................................................
Some of the most urgent, truthful, no bullshit, important talk ever heard in the halls of Congress; and a damning testimony to the dumbfounding indifference of our elected representatives. A heart crushing moment comes at the end when you see who was there.
36 Uncovered: The Whole Truth About The Iraq War 56 min
....................................................................................
Yeah, they lied to us. A bunch of high ranking insiders are here to tell you so.
46 Peace, Propaganda & The Promised Land 1 hr 20 min
............................................................................................................
A thorough look at how the news media portrays the middle east conflict to the USA. It looks at the history of the Israel/Palestine conflict. Several prominent voices lend credibility. The movie starts a bit slowly in my humble opinion but as it continues it gets more and more interesting.
53 The Real War On Terror
.........................................................
Part 1 - Iraq The Reckoning 49 min
...................................................................................
What does it say when you have to go outside the USA to get information about the war? To me it says they don't want us to know the facts and that must mean they know we wouldn't like them and that obviously means they have something to hide. Indeed. Each one of this three part series is amazing. If you'd like a real look at this "war" these films will help.
Part 2 - America's Secret Shame 48 min
........................................................................................
American casualties. I lost it on this one. They don't count if it didn't happen on the battle field. They don't count to the government maybe but they sure as hell matter to me.
Part 3 - Kidnap And Torture American Style 48 min
.........................................................................................................
This is sickening. Shame shame shame. Americans should be seeing this on mainstream tv, we have the right to know.
57 Fallujah The Hidden Massacre 28 min
............................................................................
The film opens with 30 year old color footage found in archives that had been kept from the public in both the US and Viet Nam until now. Footage taken from US Military bombers shows shiny silver skinned bombs tumbling slowly to the earth against a backdrop of giant orange flames licking the sky stretching back for kilometers. Watch the United States annihilating the huts of peasant farmers and their animals burst into flames and blacken instantly. It moves on then to Fallujah for a similarly heart rending vision of the shocking destruction the US military rained down on civilians there. It's enough to make you sick for the rest of your days. (Be warned: this film is extremely graphic).
68 Mission Accomplished 1 hr 30 min
............................................................................
(BBC) A British reporter dons his helmet and spends real time embedded with American troops in Iraq. This is not the stuff they show you on Fox, or any channel for that matter. From the perspective of boots on the ground, it's an intimate look at what a day is about over there. From the perspective of the Iraqi civilians under siege, it's frank talk straight from the source.
69 Tragedy in the Holy Land - The Second Uprising 1 hr 10 min
............................................................................
This documentary addresses the core issues of land and identity; it probes the evolution of the seemingly incurable conflict in Palestine from a historic perspective that is typically unknown to American audiences.
74 Afghan Massacre - The Convoy of Death 51 min
.....................................................................................
All human life is valuable and all people have the right to human dignity. This movie is a soul rending tale of exactly the opposite. It tells the story of the siege of Kunduz with testimony of witnesses and facilitators, of how three thousand people were forced into sealed shipping containers and loaded into sealed trucks for transport across the desert to prisons. Within 20 minutes they were screaming for air, the trucks were stopped and soldiers fired directly into the boxes "to make air holes". Blood streamed from the boxes. This is only the beginning. After four days without being given water, food, medical assistance or any trace of humanity, those who arrived still living were marched into the desert and shot. Mass graves hold what remains of their bones and clothing. Two of the films's witnesses were killed before the film was completed. US Special Forces are implicated and the US Military, of course, denies knowledge or involvement. The story is gripping and horrible and cries out for justice to be done.
76 Dear America - Letters Home from Vietnam 1 hr 26 min
.........................................................................................................................
All the confusion, pain, despair, and even hope of the men and women who served in Vietnam is captured in Dear America: Letters Home from Vietnam. The footage, some newsreel, some shot by the servicemen and servicewomen, reveals a tension between the soldiers' actual experiences and the presentation their loved ones received from television. The soundtrack weaves the songs of the 1960s with the readings to create a compelling aural snapshot of the time, which complements the video exceptionally well.
79 Crisis in the Gulf 1 hr 5 min
............................................................
An excellent overview of the Gulf situation. Provides historical context and exposes the hypocrisy of the US Government in the Middle East. Also reveals the use and effects of depleted uranium causing terrible health problems for American service-persons and for Iraqi civilians. This is how the US is seen all over the world, everywhere but here in the US where we still think we're the good guys. We can thank a bought and sold media for that; a lap dog of the government, it keeps us stupid and in the dark.
81 Weapons of Mass Deception 1 hr 38 min
..............................................................
Think you can trust the media? Think again. This excellent documentary by Danny Schechter shows two different concurrent wars - the one on the ground and the one shown on your television set.
83 Dr. Mohamed Miraki: USA used Depleted Uranium
in Afghanistan 42 min
...........................................................................................................
A candid call in talk show where the subject is the horrendous effects of leaving DU all over the Middle East. Face it, it's a sick thing for the US Military to do, and we're not the only ones doing it. The question is should anyone be "using" depleted uranium at all? The answer is obvious. There is no reasonable cause to do so. IMHO, leave it to the neo-cons to be stuck with an ever increasing supply of radio active waste and turn it into a money making venture that kills innocent people. It truly is their M.O.
108 The Oil Factor: Behind the War on Terror 1 hr 30 min
..........................................................................................................
Narrated by Ed Asner. Professional quality production that is fast paced and info packed. It lends perspective with current and historical content, bringing insight around the reasons for the invasion of Iraq. Witness the shameful behavior of the lightening fast American grab for financial and governmental control and the lack of ability to lend aid or assistance after destroying a city to bring them "freedom". We highly recommend keeping a barf bag nearby as you may feel a strong and frequent need to use it. Oh and by the way, you may be interested to see how Osama really was a CIA asset, and how the whole Al CIA-da was the creation of the CIA, helped along by a republican president. (Why is it that every single republican president we have is ALWAYS embroiled in seriously illegal activities that endanger our country? Can't they just get a blow job like democratic presidents do? What's wrong with those people anyway?) It's an excellent film and you should watch it.
112 War Made Easy 1 hr 26 min
................................................................................................
Media critic Norman Solomon gives an excellent lecture on how big media makes it so easy for the government to make war. It seems to be a symbiotic relationship. Unfortunately, it gets a lot of people killed and we get lied to as usual. He has done his homework and will bring up obscure, nearly forgotten invasions as well as more current ones that they've talked us into, and it's always for such familiar, noble sounding reasons, that are always pure bull. It's time we started to catch on.
122 The Road to Guantanamo 1 hr 30 min
.............................................................................................................................
Half-feature film, half-documentary about three British youths who spent over two years in military prison for no justifiable reason, is exhausting, depressing, slightly nauseating, and unfortunate. It turns an abstract debate about human rights and the Geneva Conventions into a visceral experience of lived injustice: What if you were rounded up with friends on the eve of your own wedding; shipped to an American airbase to be shackled, beaten, and interrogated; and then sent without trial to languish in a cage in Cuba?
126 Baghdad ER 1 hr 4 min
.............................................................................
This HBO production takes you inside the hospital at the green zone. It's a very busy place that treats both American soldiers and Iraqi wounded 24 hours a day. You'll get an intimate look at day to day life for hospital workers with a never ending supply of casualties requiring critical care; and share their emotional roller coaster when lives are saved and lost. Not tremendously graphic excepting a short scene near the beginning, it should be watchable for most, but definitely easier for those having an interest in the subject.
127 Iraq:The Hidden Story 49 min
......................................................
BBC's Channel Four offers a revealing look into the process of reporting news from war torn Iraq. It's so dangerous now that journalists can't even set foot in public and all information must come from third party sources. It's frustrating for journalists and means there's a high probability we're not as well informed as we need to be about how serious things are over there.
128 Iraq For Sale 1 hr 16 min
.....................................................
Why invest in a strong self-sustaining military that can do it all for no more than the cost of supplies when you can have private contractors charging obscene amounts of money and doing a crappy job in a climate of raging corruption and war profiteering? You'll have to ask george w. bush, the worst president in history. Maybe he can explain to you how making the country weak, fragile and teetering on the edge of collapse is a GOOD thing. Well it IS good for his despicable rich corporate partners in crime, greed and death. For the rest of us though, it's a living nightmare. This is Robert Greewald's latest documentary and it will make you angry. Bushco sees all of us as meat and his corporate scum pals will send their employees to their deaths if it means they can make a buck. The movie brings home all the dirty details of Halliburton, BlackWater, privatized TORTURE firms and much more. It will only get worse my friend unless we have these people removed from office and prosecuted. A horrible alternative lurks ahead if we don't.
144 Scott Ritter: Weapons of Mass Delusion 28 min
..............................................................
Scott Ritter, a former intelligence officer holding the rank of Major in the U.S. Marine Corps, was warning Americans that they were being manipulated.
150 The Ground Truth: The Human Cost of War 1 hr 18 min
..........................................................................................................................
War is sold to us as some kind of romanticized patriotism when in fact it's nothing more than killing. They couldn't get many people to sign up if they put out ads saying, "Killing sucks and you might die - or worse. Join the Army!" Instead they portray soldiers as dignified heroes, people who selflessly "serve". Who are they serving when the killing is 15,000 miles away? Who is the enemy when there is no other "side"? And what happens to those soldiers when they come back without limbs, or eyes, or sanity? What happens when the adrenaline subsides and they come home and don't fit in anymore? What happens when they are left alone with their thoughts, and repeating memories of the innocent dead? What do they feel when they are left to fend for themselves back home, and can't adjust? They'll tell you themselves in this sober and very real documentary that tells the truth about war, instead of the heady propaganda.
